LinkedIn Becomes Official Partner of the IHF Men’s and Women’s World Championships 2025

Hamburg, January 13, 2025 – LinkedIn has been named as an Official Partner of the IHF Men’s and Women’s World Championships 2025. This collaboration, made possible by SPORTFIVE, the exclusive marketer of the global media and marketing rights to all IHF World Championships until 2031, marks a significant milestone for both LinkedIn and the sport of handball.

The partnership will cover both of handball’s flagship events in 2025: the IHF Men’s World Championship in January, hosted across Norway, Denmark, and Croatia, and the IHF Women’s World Championship in December, held in Germany and the Netherlands. This agreement underscores LinkedIn’s commitment to supporting handball at both the men’s and women’s levels, reflecting the company’s dedication to promoting the sport on a global scale.

As an Official Partner, LinkedIn will be prominently featured throughout the events. From LED perimeter boards and court floor branding to press conference backdrops, the partnership will ensure a strong presence throughout the championships, integrating LinkedIn into the match day experience for fans and participants alike.

"We are proud to be the official partner of the 2025 Handball World Championships. At LinkedIn, we connect professionals worldwide and support them in achieving their career goals. Handball is a team sport that brings people together, and there are many interesting parallels between the professional and sports worlds – for example, in areas like motivation, resilience, winning and losing together, and perseverance. With our partnership in the Handball World Championship, we want to highlight and promote these important values. We wish all athletes a successful and fair tournament and the spectators exciting and captivating games," said Christoph Schmidt, Head of Brand Marketing, LinkedIn DACH.

This proves once again than handball unites the world, and it can create fantastic relationships, acting as a catalyst for mutual understanding and team spirit. Events like the IHF Men’s World Championship continue to attract more and more interest and with another partner joining us, we are looking forward to a successful IHF Men's World Championship in January and a fantastic IHF Women's World Championship in November and December,” said Dr Hassan Moustafa, the President of the IHF.

“As a global leader, LinkedIn is an ideal partner for the IHF Men’s and Women’s World Championships,” added Robert Müller von Vultejus, Chief Growth Officer at SPORTFIVE. “With LinkedIn’s unparalleled reach and innovative vision, we look forward to creating unforgettable experiences at both the Men’s and Women’s World Championships that celebrate the spirit of teamwork and international collaboration.”
